Location: Mombasa

The person will responsible for overall sales growth as well as driving marketing activities for the company. They will be charged with coming up with business plans, performance monitoring and motivating staff.


  • Provide leadership to day to day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • Seek out and target new clients and new sales opportunities, initiates action plans to approach and secure new business for the company
  • Manage the overall activities of the Sales team while ensuring the sales revenue and volume targets are met as per budgets
  • Develop and implement the marketing plans based on available budgetary allocations; ensure that the organization’s objectives are aligned with the company direction; this will include effective budget management and developing a pricing strategy
  • Actively seek marketing data through formal and informal research throughout the region, feedback from the sales team, etc to support the planned marketing activities; where and when necessary review planned activities to ensure they are well focused to achieve the highest impact.
  • Undertaking business development researches that include specifying marketing segments , monitoring competition activities and SWOT Analysis
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of sales and profitability.
  • Evaluating the performance of the sales team by conducting regular appraisal (individual & Team) to identify areas of improvement and making necessary recommendations/changes that would increase efficiency of the team
  • Responsible for developing, managing and controlling the sales budget
  • Update the company on any changing business trends in the sector in which the company operates in terms of product offering, customer care, /sales approaches etc to enhance its competitiveness, market presence and brand loyalty.
  • Provide leadership in planning for meetings and presentations at clients premises
  • Seek out and target new clients and new sales opportunities, initiates action plans to approach and secure new business for the company

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Degree in sales or Marketing;
  • Professional qualification in the marketing/sales or related would be an advantage
