ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Location: Nakuru

Our client, a manufacturing company is looking for an assistant accountant to join their company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible in managing day to day accounts activities.

Responsibilities

 Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
 Preparing Tax Returns and ensuring all statutory details are accurate and paid on time.
 Updating accounts receivable and issue invoices to customers.
 Updating accounts payable and perform supplier reconciliations.
 Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
 Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned
 Update financial data in databases promptly to ensure that information will be accurate and
immediately available when needed.
 Petty Cash Issuance and control.
 Budget monitoring.
 Monthly stock takes and reconciliation of Variances.
 Daily confirmation of the production report posting into sage.
 Undertake all other roles or assignments given by management.

Qualifications/Skills

 A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business related field from a recognized university.
 Qualified Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K)
 At least five (5) years of accounting experience in a Manufacturing Company with two (2) years as
an accountant.
 Good knowledge of computer accounting software.
 Strong communication and organizational skills.
 Be self-directed and self‐motivated.
 Be detail-oriented, organized, and accurate.
 Demonstrate the ability to work with numbers and understand a broad range of common financial
matters in a timely manner.
 Possess computer skills, including a working knowledge of common software programs.
 Be able to work with diverse personalities.
